Douglas Tyrrell Bunge (b.1997, Highlands) is a Glasgow and London based self-shooting filmmaker, videographer and editor. His work intertwines documentary, music, and fiction.
Work he's made has screened and won awards internationally, as well as being being the cinematographer on a film at the Venice Biennale in 2024.
The main influence is always the source material, whether that be the song, poem, story or product; the film is a translation of that. His practice began while growing up remotely in the North West of Scotland, and has lead him to working with artists such as corto.alto, Alberta Whittle and Sekai Machache. As well as having clients like Irn Bru and more.
He now lives and works as a filmmaker in Glasgow, Scotland and is developing a feature documentary after participating on a Development Scheme with the Scottish Documentary Institute.
